Amy Chalfant (Luke) is a photographer and writer in New York who examines both art forms as ways of intimate exchange between our innermost selves and the world, and as tools for understanding ethical, environmental, and human rights issues.

Her photos have been featured in several print and online publications, including: Vanity Fair, Rolling Stone, NBC News, Newsweek, Vice, The Cut, New York Daily News, Variety, The Daily Beast, Buzzfeed News, AOL, Huffpost, The Daily Gazette, Times Union, Charleston Magazine, Charleston Weddings Magazine, House Calls Magazine, and Grand Strand Magazine.

She holds a BA in philosophy from Providence College, and studied journalism and international environment and development studies at American University.
